Notice of Construction

Thanks for visiting the KIP website! Before getting into the content itself, we wanted to give a general notice this website is still under construction. Right now, the website is closer to a "proof-of-concept" than a full website. Please keep this in mind as you explore. It is possible that you may come across glitches, bugs, things just generally not working, etc. We are trying our best, but this is a website being built with a host application with limitations. There is also only so much knowledge that we can have as individuals, hence why this website is meant to be an "evolving collection". That being said, feedback and comments are always welcome! There is a Gmail account that can be contacted at the bottom of the website that is present no mater what page you are on. Under the "Community" tab there is also a form that can be filled out. Thank you for your understanding and happy exploring!

What Our Sections Contain

Resources

Caution

This is a section dedicated to explaining who some of those dangerous groups are and what effect they have on disabled folks.

Terminology

There a lot of words related to the disabled community and its members, and they are constantly changing as time goes on. It can be a bit confusing to try and navigate medical, social, historical, and slang terms without some guidance. This section is full of various terms, their definitions, and context if necessary.

Community

Every member of the disabled community is uniquely important--having their own experiences, feelings, advice, and more. It is often hard for our voices to be heard though. That is why this section is dedicated to receiving and sharing disabled voices. Comments and recourses that are submitted will be reviewed before being officially shared so that our promise of respect and truthfulness can continue to be upheld.
