Institutional Level Resources

These are resources for disabled folks that are currently receiving an education or enrolled in any level of schooling, instruction, or institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of these resources are managed or a part of the Department of Education of the United States' Federal Government. Due to the current presidential administrations attacks on this department, some services might be  affected in unexpected ways.

Individualized Education Program (I.E.P.s)

IEPs are planss that are created for disabled students (below college-level schooling) to support them in school. The support is usually locally based in the institution.

Accessability Services

Accessibility Services is a general term for the various services most institutions offer. These are the offices that are built to be resources for disabled students attending their institution.

504s

504s are plans that are created to help disabled students have equal access to education. by providing the support the help they need in the classroom.

Office of Special Education Programs (O.S.E.P)

OSEP is the federal government's office for special education and is dedicated to providing resources for disabled folks under 21 for early education.

Association on Higher Education And Disability (A.H.E.A.D)

AHEAD is a network of people that provide training to professionals to disability inclusion, resources to disabled folks, and research about disability on the basis of equal education.

Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (O.V.R)

OVRs help with getting disabled folks opportunities to further their education or career. Availability of their services varies by state.

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (I.D.E.A)

IDEA is the federal law that assures that young disabled folks have equal access to free and appropriate education.

Therapy

Therapy is a general term for the versions of help offered by psychologists to support someone through challenges in life. Availably of therapies often depends on location.
